Alcatraz Island

Alcatraz Island
Alcatraz Island is full of mood mystical, it is also called the "Island of Death". Alcatraz Island is an island located in the San Francisco Bay, 1.5 miles (2.4 km) offshore from San Francisco, California, United States. Formerly, Alcatraz island is a  military fortress and then made the tight-security prison (and now this area is just opened at night not during the day. That is the reason why is the bid night tour around Alcatraz island more attract tourist to visit).  Now Alcatraz is a historical site managed by the U.S. National Parks Department as a Place of Golden Gate National Recreation and are open to tourists. Than Alcatraz  island is listed as National Historic Places.

After arriving visitor here at night, visitors will pass through an entrance sign to the prison. Here there is a faded paper, namely “Indians Welcome”, written in red paint. It is the remains belong to Native Americans who occupied the island from 1969 to 1971.

Firstly, the night tour through a building that once housed families of prison guards. Then, a park employee will talk about the failure of an inmate escape attempt on Friday, the 13th. The effort was read in detail. This one will not be found in the daytime tour.

Next the tour will takes visitors through the switch block D, an isolated cage. At this location visitors can stand in the dark cell and listen to the voices of prisoners who spent time there. With eyes closed, visitors can feel the alienation and despair. If lucky to find a park guards are not too busy, visitors can request a quick detour shown to ‘The Dungeon’, an underground cell. This area is accessible only at night.

Exactly at 20.00 hours local time, the workers opened the prison hospital. Visitors will enter a dark room, then through the operating table made of old metal, ruanganan X-rays with the windows painted black. A visit to the hospital are in addition to touring Alcatraz at night.

Sometime, a tourist had asked the hospital related to a worker if he ever saw a ghost in this place. After a pause a few times, then the worker said no. But this place is a bit eerie because he seemed to feel like lead into the jail alone. If you still dare, lets go to Alcatraz Island.
