1. Elephanta Island
Elephanta Island located in the middle of Mumbai Harbour, 9km northeast of the Gateway of India. Once, the island was known as Gharapuri
(Place of Caves). The Portuguese renamed it Elephanta because of a large stone elephant near the shore, which collapsed in 1814 and was moved by the British to Mumbai’s Victoria Gardens. Something most interest in Elephanta is the Elephanta Caves where the rock-cut temple are there. Here you can view the ancient cave temples carved into the basalt rock of the island. The artwork temple represents some of the most impressive temple carving in India, the main is Shiva. The enormous central bust of Shiva, its eyes closed in eternal contemplation, it may be the most serene sight you witness in India. Here also you can see the statue of the three face God, which one as destroyer, then the creator, and the preserver of the universe.

2. Chowpatty Beach
Chowpatty is a favourite place for anyone out to enjoy what passes for fresh air and the amazing atmosphere. Some people get there to enjoy the sunset or just enjoy the bhelpuri(the fried snack). The water is not the cleanest but the beach is litter-free, patrolled by lifeguards and lit up at night. Visiting Chowpatty in the evening is an essential part of any trip to Mumbai.
The highlight of the year at Chowpatty is Ganesh Chaturthi (August/September), when huge crowds gather to watch images of the elephant-headed god of good fortune, Ganesh, paraded through the city streets and immersed in the sea.

3. Sanjay Gandhi National Park
Sanjai Gandhi is known for its population of leopards. It is located near the northern border of Mumbai, it also includes a Lion Safari Park which is about 500 miles inside the north entrance to the main park. A safari ride runs daily from 9.00 a.m. to 5 p.m. except on Mondays. The park also contains two lakes which are said to provide a major chunk of Mumbai's water supply.

4. Essel World
Essel World is the largest amusement park in India. Essel World located near Gorai Beach. Essel World offer the usual roller coaster rides, and Water World section which is a great hit in Mumbai's sultry weather. However, it is the adjoining Water Kingdom is Asia's largest water theme park with water slides, theme cruises and the world's largest wave pool. You can take ferries from Gorai Beach to get Essel World and Water Kingdom easily.

 5. Juhu Beach
Juhu is the most popular beach among all the beaches in Mumbai. Juhu is a suburban area located on the southern parts of the city. Juhu Suburb, Mumbai is considered to be one of the posh places in the city. It is connected by the local train services with the nearest railway stations located at Santacruz and Vile Parle. There are 3 entrance to the beach: one is is from Vile Parle. Vile Parle has got a railway station of its own; this makes the place more accessible to the tourist. The other entrance is from Santacruz another affluent place in the suburbs of Mumbai. Santacruz too has a railway station for the local trains. The third entrance is from Andheri another influential place in the Mumbai suburbs. There is also a railway station located in this area.

6. National Gallery of Modern Art Mumbai
National Gallery of Modern Art Mumbai is a host of various exhibition and events. The gallery is not only a host to Indian art but also for world over. The artwork at the National Gallery Modern Art is placed strategically so that a perfect view can be provided to the visitors, while keeping the artwork secured.
